Digital Trails ("we", "us") builds AI bots, automation, and websites for small businesses across the GTA and Southern Ontario. This policy explains what information we collect through digitaltrails.ca, why, and how we handle it. We keep it short and plain.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
- Contact form: your name, email address, the service you are interested in, and any message you write.
- AI assistant: the answers you type into the chat, plus your name, email, and phone number if you choose to share them so our team can follow up.
- Basic technical data: standard server request logs (such as IP address and browser type) that our host records for security and reliability.
We do not ask for, or want, sensitive information such as passwords, payment card numbers, or government IDs. Please do not send those.
Why we collect it
Only to respond to you: to answer your question, prepare a quote, book a call, and if you hire us, to deliver the work. That is the whole purpose.
How it is handled
- Form and chat submissions are processed through our website host (Netlify Forms) and emailed to us at support.digitaltrails@gmail.com.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
- We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, including server-side validation and spam filtering on our forms.
Cookies and tracking
The site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them; Google may log that request as described in its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your inquiry for as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, for the life of the project and our normal business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
Email support.digitaltrails@gmail.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We will respond within a reasonable time.
